paper balloons on a table, one with good and bad written on it

LU Arts invited Rachel to facilitate a creative making and collaborative thinking workshop to aid discussions around the theme of ‘the air we breathe’ as part of the Institute of Advanced Studies ‘Breath’ Week. This session brought fellows of Loughborough University together to explore and answer some key questions linked to the Breath programme.

The workshop involved co-creating ‘breath balloons’ in response to the questions Rachel posed to the participants throughout the session. At the end of the workshop the participants blew up the balloons by breathing into them, discussing the process and created a sculptural display that brought together different disciplinary perspectives from across the University of Loughborough. Working collaboratively the workshop built alternative dialogues, encouraged new thinking, posed new questions, finding possible cross-overs, solutions, actions and future project ideas in response.
