Active Ingredient’s first public artwork. A haunting projection appeared on the water fountain in Derby Market Place. Words appeared and disappeared, alongside a soundtrack of crackling sounds and voices.  People could go on the website, either in the foyer of Assembly Rooms opposite or if they had a computer at home and type in their messages that were then projected onto the water.

Strange News From Another took place over several nights, one night during a storm. The computer, modem and projector was set up in a tent in the market place. BT agreed to provide a phone line from the phone box in the square. Commissioned by Derby Community Arts.
